I've been hearing a lot about Phoenix lately. They say it's very lite and runs well in both Linux and Windows. I installed it on my RH 8 box, took 2 min (with help from jazy (:jazy)). Then I thought "Hey let's try the Win32 version!". So I jump on the XP notebook, installed. WOW, what a great little browser! It does - tabs
- all my favorite shortcut keys (mozilla doesn't!)
- shows the web site's icon without bookmarking it
- is faster and less system demanding
- you don't have to type any www or .com (I know mozilla does that too)
- OPEN SOURCE!
- This good and only in version 0.4!
Give it a try, you'll thank me. If your on Linux make sure to install it, Mozilla is just slugish in Gnome and KDE. This runs off the Mozilla code, but is being ripped apart and made liter and quicker! Gotta love it! Posted by chris at 12:47 AM Software • (0) Trackbacks
