I just started Folding@Home on my machines a few days ago. It’s a wonderful project to help find a cure for cancer. It uses your computer processing power you are not currently using to help process information needed to help find a cure for this horrible illness. It’s not hard to get running and it does it all in the background. If you want to particate in a fun competition there are website who have teams of “folders” and they fight to be the top spot. It’s all for a good cause and good fun. I know it’s too late to help out my mom, but I know how it is and if it can help someone else it’s worth it.
I fold for the HardOCP (aka the [H]orde) and we are currently in the number one spot but there is some tough competition! If you want to join the [H]orde go to Hardfolding.com, download the client and get running!
I currently have 3 machine Folding pretty much around the clock. So I have 5 GHZ going toward it and if I can scrounge around and build another machine for it you know I will. Below is a picture of my Folding Farm. Let me know what you think of the project and if you are folding let me know, even if you are on another team, nothing like a little competive trash talking. I’m currently working on putting my stats on this page so you can watch my progress. UPDATE: I did get my stats posted on the left.
