A winning combo I think I have finally killed most of the spam out of my Inbox. It took a 1 2 punch. First off I enabled Spam Assassin on the server side and set the points to 4.5. I also set it to put **SPAM** in the subject.

Next I setup a program on my machine called SpamPal, it makes itself a proxy for your mail and then check it with what ever spam lists you configure it to use and then puts the same **SPAM** in the subject. It's still in beta but works like a dream.

Then I have Outlook filter all my mail that has the **SPAM** in it into a junk mail folder.

Then if I need an extra 1 2 3 punch I use the built in Outlook junk mail option and add the email addy by hand. Posted by chris at 03:35 PM Internet • (0) Trackbacks
