Technoblog Audio Feed (TAF) Show 5 3-28-05

Review of my Sony PSP.  Sorry for the bad audio quality, the full uncompressed sounded like this, not sure why and still working on it.  Might have to record the next one on the notebook.

Technoblog Audio Feed (TAF) Show 1 3-10-05

Well it had to happen cause I’m a fad person (except fashion).  So I recorded an audio post and plan on doing more.  My PC setup is good for audio and it sounds great.  I have two options for mobile recording.  My phone will record 1 minute of audio which I can rerecord later to post.  And my new digital camera will record 35 HOURS of audio on my 512MB SD card so I can use it to do podcasts.  I don’t have an RSS feed yet, I’ll have to look around to see how to do that.  If you have any ideas and comments let me know, and I also need help with the RSS.  The first show is kinda lame but I swear it will get better.  Check it out and leave feedback!

iPod Glitch?

Anyone else have an issue with iPod photo’s headphone jack with straight cables?  My headphones with a right angle cable work just fine but I like to patch my pod into a system to crank it up and with the straight jack 1/8 to RCA cable.  It seems to be a loose headphone jack and it causes my iPod to pause randomly.  It sucks and I want to know if I am the only person seeing this.  I have the new 30GB iPod photo.  I might call Apple and have it replaced but I hear rumors that if it was customized there is no return.  We’ll see, I’ll go all the way up to Jobs if I have to get this fixed, many sacrafices made to get this thing.

Getting back to my roots

So I’ve been getting to my roots of blogging and the internet.  Lately with my job and class that I’ve been away from the blogging community.  I miss it and I’ve found something that is greatly pulling me into the sway.  Podcasting is a WONDERFUL new thing I just discovered.  I know I’m behind.  But I’m loving this great audio content that I can throw on my iPod photo and walk to class without stopping my content.  I was hoping that this kind of technology was coming for a long time.  Shoot I have 400mb open and 15GB of bandwidth each month I don’t touch and I figure most people do to.  I’ve seen some people trying to do this long ago with video, but they are ahead of their time.  Right now the US doesn’t have the cheap bandwidth and storage to cover the needs for video, but luckily it does have what it takes for audio.

Couple of Podcasts I’m in to.

Engadget - I love this feed, too bad we haven’t seen anything from them in a couple months (not sure why, if anyone knows please clue me in) but I love how Phil is pro consumer and how they are challenging the general thought of media.  This is what indepentant media is amount.  I love their site Engadget and Joystiq.  Check them out, they have great news coverage and great pod casts.

Leo Laporte - Good old Leo.  He still posts great news commentary like he did on TSS and CFH all while posting it online.  His TLR Audio edition is great to keep up with news stories while it’s awesome to hear his radio show on the way to class everyday.  Check his audio stuff out!

Since I got my iPod photo I’ve listened to 4X more voice than music.  I encourage you to check them out.  I have a couple more streams I’m planning to listen to a few more.  Keep checking back for updates on what I find.

Fixing EE Error

Anyone know how to fix a problem EE 1.1 (and older) where IE doesn’t display the most current post in a site?  Check my site in IE and then check it in something like Firefox and you’ll notice that IE doesn’t show you the most rescent blog post and it makes no sence to me.  I tought it might be in my CSS but who knows.  If you have ideas either email me hileman [at] g m a il .com or just post a comment.  This is driving me nuts.
