Sprint crap
I dropped by my local Radio Shack tonight to get my Sprint phone. We ran the credit check and started the whole process. In the middle of this the other employee got off, that left Dennis to run the store, his manager was in the back, but was on the phone for at least an hour. So while he was helping me he had to stop and check out other people. Then his computer crashed. So we had to start the whole process again. We got thought that after a call to customer service to fixan issue because of the crash. After that he had a few customers. Then I signed the agreement and paid my deposit. I have good credit, I just don't have a ton of it. SoThatwas all taken care of and the phone was programmed. Then he started to ring up the phone and the rebate wasn't working. It was supposed to be 199 - 170 instant rebate. But for some reason it wasn't going through. At this point it had been about 45 minutes. I was running late for a dinner family thing so I asked if I could stop by later and take care of it.. He said ya so I left. When I returned around closing time he told me that the rebate had changed and it was now an mail in rebate and that he didn't know that til I went to pay. He is going to call in the morning and see if he can convince them to give me the rebate. Since I had already signed hte agreements, activated the phone and paid the deposit and was told the phone would be $29. I hope they let him do it. If not I'll order it off the sprint website. It just pissed me off. I've been waiting a while for this. And I'm not waiting 8 weeks to get $130 back, that BS.

Comcast buys TechTV
You might have read it other places. but if not, Comcast has puchased TechTV. No word yet on what will change but I did read this on [H]ardOCP

Just checked Leo's blog nad he is leaving TSS and just doing CFH now. What a sad day it is. It WILL NOT be TSS without Leo on it. Sure it's good to see that they moved CFH right next to TSS, but still, I'll miss Leo's whit and wisdom on TSSS, it was his constant even though CFH is his love. I'd love to hear your guy's comments on the whole thing.

Going over me
At chuch I've been putting my tithe into the sound system fund, savingup to get a nice set of choir mics. Total coast would be $340 for a set the great Shure mics. Shure makes some of the best stuff in the biz. Wel I just about has the money before surgery. While I was gone the pastor wnet to our local sound store and used that money to buy one of the worst set of "choir mics" in the world. Total effective range with our system. 1 fot. They are not hanging mics, they are on stands and just sound like crap. They have off/on switches, which are horrible. If someone went to sing and the switch was off we'd be screwed because I would be helpless. I can turn mics off at the board, I don't need to do it on the mic. I'm going to give the pastor a a peice of my mind tomorrow. I'm going to tell him to take them back and we'll raise the money for the cost differnce and amybe a restocking fee. He is not a sound person, he triusted the idiots at the store and they screwed him over. I hate when people just go over me.

Strange happenings
There was this guy that used to come into work and talk computers. with me He was an older guy in his 50's, but he stayed up with technology. We figured out that we did everything the same when working on PCs, and discussed the idea of starting a computer shop.
Well since I was gone from work for 3 weeks I got out of the loop. The day before I went back to work I had this odd feeling that Mike was going to come in that next night with good news about the shop.
That all changed tonight, I was at my former manager's house working on their machine and she brought up that Mike passed away. Needless to say I was in shock, I didn't know of any sickness he had or that he was in bad health. I'm going to try and find out what happened, strange stuff.
