Prom Watch 2003
I went and ordered my Tux for prom tonight. I am really happy with what we picked out. Prom is May 17th but I wanted to make sure I got something good. My rental is going to cost $73, not bad, I get it the thursday before prom and then have to return it the monday afterward. I think I'll stop by work and say HI, they'll get a good laugh. When I get around to it I'll scan in the pictures of it for ya'll.

Screwed out of $1300
I sent in my laptop for service last week. It had smoked and had a nasty burning smell. Well turns out that HP won't cover the cost and it would cost me a couple thousand to repair. Screw that. They are sending me the junker, anyone want it? For the right price I might part with it, the LCD, CDR/DVD drive and some other things work on it. Not sure if I want to part with it, make me an offer. Needless to say I'm pissed that my $1300 notebook is now a POS. Oh well, they claim it had a liquid spill, BS, I never spilt anything on it.

Freaky Weather
I hate this dang Indiana weather! It snowed today for gosh sake! It's been like 60-70 for about 2 weeks and now SNOW. I know I've lived here all my life but I still don't understand this stuff!

HA! Fooled ya
Got ya didn't I? I posted my April logo early this month. The Braves start this regular season on Monday on ESPN 2. WATCH IT!

Zen update
I mentioned the Zen's wired remote. What I didn't know is that they were on backorder. Some people have stated that they are back ordered til at least June! You can find them on EBay for $120 when they retail for $60.

i emailed crative tech support saying that the entire reason i picked a zen over an ipod is that i could get the wired remote; i told them that i was neither pleased with the fake shortage of remotes nor their using it to manipulate supply and demand. i added that im dissatisfied with the zen software, and was seriously considering returning my zen in favor of the ipod.
an hour later creative contacted me with instructions to call them and they'd let one of the 'few remaining' remotes go for me.
5 days later, i got the remote.
i suggest everyone do the same, perhaps creative will learn some sort of lesson.
if you'd like, i could paste their reply into a submission to prove this; im not making it up.
